    Hold AEO Certification Kickoff Meeting

On March 5, 2024, Sanming Customs Brokerage Co., Ltd. and Oceantower Forwarder Services Inc. held a kickoff meeting for the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification, declaring their commitment to obtaining AEO status. The meeting was attended by the customs AEO verification team for official recognition. Sanming Customs Brokerage primarily handles import/export, ship supplies customs clearance, inland transportation, and containerization, while Oceantower focuses on global import/export forwarding services. To meet the World Customs Organization’s (WCO) SAFE Framework standards for global trade security and facilitation, both companies are actively pursuing AEO certification, which will strengthen their security mechanisms, enhance corporate image, and improve trade competitiveness. The AEO program aims to establish a partnership between customs and businesses, enhancing overall supply chain security by evaluating and improving business operations and security risk prevention measures. Certified companies can benefit from expedited clearance and import privileges in countries with mutual AEO recognition agreements, including the U.S., Singapore, Israel, South Korea, India, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Guatemala.
